Outpatient Alcoholism and Addiction Recovery Program
We work with our adult men and women clients to help them achieve long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Our program employs effective, evidence-based one-on-one recovery coaching techniques that work to help our clients achieve their life goals and repair relationships that are threatened by the consequences of substance use.
?Addiction recovery is attainable and sustainable?.
"Recovery is the process of restoring or developing a positive and meaningful sense of identity while practicing acceptance of one's changing life conditions. Rebuilding relationships, enjoying the days and growing in peace, serenity and sobriety is possible - despite or within the limitations imposed by life's conditions."
TROUBLE STAYING
CLEAN & SOBER?
IT'S NOT EASY.
Alcoholics and drug addicts are not "bad people", quite the contrary, they are really-really good people suffering from a "bad" disease.
When the illness is treated, the real person can shine. Rather than focus on a client?s weaknesses, a Recovery Coach helps the client identify and focus on strengths, goals, and his or her "Recovery Capital". This allows clients to gain a brand new perspective on life and the way they view the many life challenges they face.
While some methods involve reviewing the client?s past, many Recovery Professionals use a pro-active, positive approach that focuses on the present and the future. Humans learn from their struggles in life, as well as from their accomplishments. We learn to become resilient as a result of both types of experiences.
Addiction recovery can be a lengthy and arduous process which involves several stages of transformation. An addicted person can be considered truly free from dependence on alcohol or drugs only after these transformations, or "realignments of self", have occurred.
Every individual goes through stages in their on way, and the length of time required depends on the person?s individual personality and biology, as well as on the specific substance abused.?

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Having worked in the field of addiction treatment there was always a certain lure to the thought of operating a private practice and being free to help people to apply solutions for today's recovery rather than focusing on "therapy" in the traditional sense to determine the "why". In early 2014 a friend who had a therapy practice offered me the use of an office and encouraged me to work with a certain client who had been struggling with substance abuse for many years. Soon after beginning with that client another came along with some really troubling struggles and a long history of multiple inpatient treatment stays with no substaintial sobriety so I accepted that client and the rest has been a wonderful experience of helping people overcome addiction. The Sober Recovery Journey came in to being that summer of 2014. The program guidelines are based on personal recovery experience and belief in the most important detail in the many recovery successes, which is individualized structure for each client. The cumulative successes and positive life-changing outcomes have kept the program busy with waiting lists of new clients many times over these past 4 years.
What is your primary product or service?
One-on-one recovery coaching services for adults with substance-use disorders (alcohol and drug addiction).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The program has no "group setting" and is unlike programs offered at many treatment centers. The focus is on learning new responses to life events and being coached on how to stay clean and sober today and how to enjoy that state of clear mind and body.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location in the Bellevue area of West Nashville, Tennessee.
What type of payments do you accept?
Personal or bank checks or cash. No credit cards
Which areas do you service?
Although clients have driven from as far away as Jackson and Crossville, Tennessee, due to the potential need for multiple sessions each week, we recommend clients seeking help live within an hour's drive of our office.
What are your hours of operation?
Client appointments are set for weekday evenings and various times on Saturday's.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Thanks for helping me discover how to be purposeful, responsible, and happy living a clean and sober life!
