How long have you been in business?
We started The Butler Company, Inc. in 1983. We added our affliated companies, bondyourself.com and buyumbrella in the 1990's.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide commercial insurance and bond help for businesses. In addition, we provide personal insurance products for Middle Tennessee families.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Most of us worked for insurance companies before joining the agency. For instance, I was bond underwriter for a national insurance company. All of us have special areas of expertise such as construction insurance, bonding, film production insurance or personal insurance.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
You can find our carriers and products on any street corner. What we bring to the table is special knowledge of the industry. We know where to find the best protection at the best price. It is that simple. And by asking a lot of questions we get it right the first time.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Locations? Locations? We don't need no stinkin' locations. We got the internet. Kidding aside, we handle business clients as far away as California, New York and Florida and we have the technology to be a keystroke or speed dial away.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, checks, bank drafts and if you have references we even accept cash! We also provide premium financing for customers that prefer to save their bank credit lines for working capital.
Which areas do you service?
Although, we are licensed in many states, we focus on Middle Tennessee businesses.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Chester Butler owns the Company but the fact is our staff are the front line problem solvers. They are all licensed agents with years of "hands on" insurance and bond experience.
What are your hours of operation?
Just like Dolly says, "Nine to Five". But we are accessable 24/7.
